What is Himalayan Solé?

Solé is a perfectly saturated solution of water and Himalayan salt crystals. Solé can be made by adding Himalayan salt crystals to a metal free jar of good quality water (spring or filtered) and letting it sit overnight. Within 24-48 hours the water will have absorbed the proper saturation of salt (26%). For optimum absorption of minerals, take each morning on an empty stomach.  Leave the salt crystals in the jar and add more water at the ½ way mark.  ‘Contrary to common table salt, solé is not “off-limits” for those with high blood pressure. In fact, solé lowers the blood pressure within 15 minutes. But this does not mean that solé is a blood pressure lowering remedy. Because those with low blood pressure can also drink solé and their blood pressure will rise. The sole’s fundamental attribute is its ability to restore balance.’ – Water & Salt: The Essence of Life by Dr. Barbara Mendel

Does salt really heal all wounds?

Salt acts like a magnet, drawing and attracting fluid into the cells. Lack of adequate water or salt dehydrates the body and pushes it into a stressed state, making it vulnerable to disease.

What are the benefits of drinking Himalayan solé?

The solé supplies the body with the natural energy stored in the crystals and the body can hold this up to 24 hours. Solé helps balance the alkaline/acidity (pH) levels in the body and may help normalize blood pressure. Solé may also dissolve and eliminate sediment which can lead to stones (and gall stones) and may help with various forms of arthritis.

Won’t I retain water by eating too much salt?

Yes, if you ingest processed table or sea salt. Himalayan salt may help with the proper hydration to the body. One study with Himalayan salt shows significant improvement in respiratory, circulatory, organ, connective tissue, and nervous system functions. Participants also reported increases in quality of sleep, energy, concentration levels, brain activity, weight loss, enhanced consciousness and noticeable hair and nail growth. 2001 UNIVERSITY OF GRAZ, AUSTRIA STUDY OVERVIEW.

What is the salt content in Himalayan solé brine solution?

One teaspoon of Himalayan solé contains approximately .01 grams of salt or approximately 478 mg of sodium, roughly 20% of the USDA recommended daily allowance. Did you know that a popular “diet frozen meal” contains over 800 mg of PROCESSED and HARMFUL sodium?

What is a healthy range of salt intake on a daily basis?

Doctors recommend 3-5 grams of salt a day.  However, our body actually only requires the minute amount of 0.2 grams of salt per day. Daily consumption of table salt in the U.S. is between 10-15 grams per day!  Our body is only able to excrete approx. 5 grams a day through our kidneys.

What is the difference between processed table salt and Himalayan salt?

When table salt is mined, the most nutritious elements are extracted and sold separately to industries. What is left is a bi-product – a very unhealthy form of sodium chloride, full of aluminum bi-products. Himalayan salt is harvested by hand--selecting top quality crystals and stone-grinding them, resulting in pure, organic, real salt! Table salt contains 1 mineral: sodium chloride. Sea salt contains approximately 10 minerals. Himalayan salt has OVER 84 minerals!

Is it true that we need to eliminate salt from our diet?

Most of us actually suffer from a lack of ‘quality’ salt that is so vital for all body functions!  Common table salt could possibly be the common denominator in some modern diseases.  Table salt has been heated to 1200 degrees, treated and bleached, changing the molecular structure, which the body cannot easily metabolize. Table salt has been completely drained of all its minerals which means it should no longer be considered salt at all. Sea salt is a bit of an improvement. But with only 10 minerals, cannot be compared to Himalayan salt.

What are the ingredients of Himalayan salt?

Himalayan salt contains 84 minerals and trace elements which are identical to the elements in your body. It is easily metabolized by your body.  Its cell structure is ionic in size, easily digested and absorbed into the body.

Himalayan salt is scientifically shown to enhance overall health, replenishes electrolytes and also helps to balance the body’s pH levels.
